Kia ora koutou, My name is Shaquila Barrett, I am a Mother of 4 children and have recently completed by Bachelor of Applied Social Science.  Prior to that I lived in Australia for a few years.  I was a student at Rotorua School for Young Parents where I achieved my Level 3 and University Entrance.

I started working at the centre in 2025, I am passionate about serving our people and strengthening whānau. I bring a heart for community, lived experience, and a commitment to creating safe, supportive spaces where families can thrive.
